90,000 Mile Factory Service
Total powertrain preservation and deep structural diagnostics.
Ensuring the Next 100,000 Miles
A vehicle that reaches 90,000 miles is entering its second phase of life. With proper maintenance at this interval, modern engines can easily exceed double this mileage. However, the 90k mark requires intrusive inspections and the replacement of critical, hidden failure points.
The 90k Overhaul Requirements
This massive service interval repeats the items from both the 30k and 60k intervals, while addressing major mechanical tolerances:
- Timing Belt Replacement: The single most critical item. If a timing belt snaps on an interference engine, the pistons will smash the valves, requiring a total engine rebuild. This must be replaced on schedule, alongside the water pump and timing pulleys.
- Differential & Transfer Case Service: For AWD, 4WD, and RWD vehicles, the gear oil in the differentials has endured extreme shearing forces. We drain the metallic sludge and refill with high-viscosity synthetic gear lube.
- Fuel Injector Decarbonization: Carbon build-up on the intake valves and injector nozzles robs your engine of massive horsepower and fuel efficiency. We utilize pressurized chemical solvents to dissolve this carbon rock.
- Comprehensive Suspension Sweep: By 90k miles, control arm bushings, tie rod ends, and shock absorbers are often at the end of their operational lifecycle. We perform a total chassis safety check.
The Institutional Standard
Major phased maintenance requires a facility that operates with precision and honesty. National Automotive Group possesses the specialized tooling, the alignment racks, and the ASE-level diagnostic authority to tear down and rebuild your vehicle's core systems, ensuring it runs identically to the day it left the assembly line.
